The primer works as promised, mattifying. I don't have to worry about my shiny face later in the day while wearing it. Especially love the clean ingredients. Would be perfect if it spreads more easily.
This primer has changed. It was so silky and soft and helped keep my oily skin from getting shiny. I was excited to see it was back in stock and immediately ordered 2. This new formula is thick and sticky and makes my face shiny, and this is supposed to be matte. My make up is more difficult to apply over it and goes on streaky. There is also an off putting smell that wasn’t there before. I hate that I have to look for a new primer now, because I really really loved the old formula. I just hope I can find something close to what this product used to be.
I absolutely LOVED the old version of this primer. I think it was out of stock for a year-and-a-half and I was checking the website religiously during that time, hoping for it to come back in stock. I was so excited to get it again, but it doesn’t feel the same to me at all. The biggest difference is that no matter what I do, I cannot get it to spread well over my mineral sunscreen. I’ve tried leaving the sunscreen on for less time, more time, watering down the primer with rosewater, patting the primer on instead of rubbing it on … But no matter what I do it makes my sunscreen (and maybe my moisturizer?) pill all over my face. So frustrating! One of the things I loved most about the old formulation, besides the clean nourishing ingredients, was that it went on so effortlessly on top of mineral sunscreen. So this is a huge difference for me. $45 down the drain, I guess.
(Still love this brand as a whole. Just sad about this product!)
