It's definitely meant to moisturize. It took a bit to figure out you only need a drop or two to cover both hands, otherwise you're left with slimy feeling hands. I like the smell but I'm not a fan of the feel when I first put it on and when I wash my hands after.
Love the fact that the “fragrance” disappears after rubbing the gel into my hands and that it doesn’t dry out my hands. I keep this hand sanitizer in the bedroom so it’s handy when I have to blow my nose in the middle of the night (sinus issues and allergies).
